Snorkel trail – a nature trail under the surface

There are four snorkelling trails in Lysekil. They are approximately 200 meters long and are based at a depth of about 1–1.5 meters. They have a rope attached from the plate up to a buoy at the sea surface, which shows where the snorkelstation is. On the snorkelling trail, there is an information plate describing different plants and animals in the ocean. Since sediment and growth can make the signs difficult to read, there will brushes available for cleaning.

Snorkelling may require some experience before it feels good. Fins can ease the swimming and if the water is cold it might be good to wear a wetsuit. Avoid snorkelling alone or at least having someone keep an eye out for you from land. Children should always snorkel together with an adult. If you feel cold or fatigued, you can return to land at any time. Please note that all snorkelling is done at your own risk.
