Discover the scenic Lugnåsberget in the stone cutters trail

Follow Stenhuggarstigen in Lugnås and astonish over the history and natur on Lugnåsberget - Kvarnstensberget "The millstone mountain".

The walking trail goes through the alternating nature- and cultural lands. Signs along the path tells for example about old quarries, village sites, geology, plant and animal life.

The hike, which is approximately 6 kilometres long, starts and ends in the nature reserve Klosterängen, but of course you can start your hike at any place of your choice. The hiking trail is managed by villagers who are responsible for different sections.

There are maps to borrow at the car park and the recommended starting point at Klosterängen.

The path is not suitable for prams, wheelchairs or walkers.

Directions

Follow signs towards Lugnås church from E20. About 500 meters before the church there is a small sign "Stenhuggarstigen".
Follow the signs towards Lugnås church from highway 26. Continue along the road another 500 meters past the church until a small sign "Stenhuggarstigen" appears.
