Torreby Castle
Torreby

Castle and golf course

Torreby Castle was built in 1887 by squire and merchant Nils Georg Sörensen.
It was built as a summer palace, of red bricks in romantic neo-Gothic style,
following drawings by architect Adolf Emil Melander. The castle and the
park were designed according to English ideals. Houses were built up where
the farm's workers with families got to live. Economy buildings, a barn and
a steamboat jetty were built at Gullmarsfjorden
and a boathouse and hot bath house.
