Alekärrs Ekologiska Gård

Alekärr Ekologiska Gård is a small fruit farm located in Norra Lundby outside Varnhem and run by the Andersen family. There are more than 700 trees here, consisting of apples, pears, plums, and cherries. There is everything from large, beautiful trees of the old variety to newly planted trees of both old and newer varieties. They are open for pick-your-own during the season.

Farm shop and café

In the farm shop, you will find everything from cider and juice to dried fruit and herbal salts, etc. There are also fruits, berries, and vegetables to buy, depending on the season. All production takes place on the farm, and they strive to make delicious, exciting products where the focus is on home-grown ingredients.

Now you can also enjoy a coffee break at Alekärr, either inside the café next to the farm shop, or you can take your coffee break outside on one of their patios. Or why not borrow a picnic basket and blanket and sit down in the apple orchard? The farm café offers homemade treats, with a focus on seasonal home-grown products and other locally sourced ingredients.

The café always has freshly baked waffles for sale with a range of toppings to choose from. They also have buns, cookies, chocolate buns, muffins, and more. Everything in the café is homemade, with a focus on their home-grown ingredients, depending on what is available each day. The selection varies throughout the season, but they always try to ensure that there is something on the menu for everyone, regardless of allergies or other preferences.

Our own cider press

Alekärr has its own cider press and processing kitchen, and all production takes place on the farm. Alekärrs Ekologiska Gård strives to make delicious, exciting products with as little sugar and other additives as possible. We aim to run as sustainable an operation as possible and do not use pesticides. If you have your own apples, you can bring them in for juicing. You will always get back juice from your own apples, and there are several different packaging options to choose from, such as boxes and bottles. 

Alekärrs Ekologiska Gård also sells its products at REKO-ring Skara, Skövde, and Lidköping. During the summer and fall, seasonal fruits and berries are sold along with homemade jams, herb salts, must, and cherry juice.

Alekärr Organic Farm currently has over 700 fruit trees. Most of the trees are apples of all varieties, but there are also cherries, bigarå berries, sweet berries, plums, pears, and various berry bushes.
