Kråks Herrgård - Kråk Manor
Skara
Visit this gem dating back to the 18th century in the middle of Skara, and feel the wings of history from a bygone era.
The yellow main building of Kråk Manor was originally located on today’s Kråk shooting range, overlooking Lake Vättern. The building dates back to 1790, but the estate has been traced back to the Middle Ages. The vaults in the basement were created when the building was moved to its current location in the 1950s.
The state apartments reflect a typical style in Västergötland around the beginning of the 19th century. One room is decorated in the style of the early 20th century, based on recollections from the last owners, the Ehrenborgs.
The wings come from Götala Farm outside Skara, and were built around 1730. They contained the estate office and living quarters. The eastern wing is decorated like a well-to-do home between 1740 and 1790, whilst the west wing is used for events.
