Stora Ekeberg’s Hostel is a charming historic building dating back to the early 1900s, currently undergoing extensive renovation and restoration. At present, 32 rooms are available, but once the entire project is completed, the impressive four-story building will offer a total of 150 rooms.

Guests can choose between rooms for 2, 4, or 6 people and share a kitchen with others. It’s a wonderful place to stay and socialize, featuring elegant architecture and spacious green areas.

Pitches for Caravans and Motorhomes

Stora Ekeberg also offers pitches for caravans and motorhomes, making it a great option for those traveling with their own vehicle. Here, you can park on a spacious, grassy spot while enjoying the peace and beauty of nature. You’ll also have access to shared facilities, including toilets, showers, a laundry room, and a kitchen.

Please note that the motorhome and caravan area is closed from October until mid-March.

Whether you choose to stay at the hostel or the motorhome park, you’ll be close to many exciting attractions. You can walk to Skara Sommarland, the largest water park in the Nordic region in just five minutes.

In nearby Axvall, you’ll find Axevalla Trotting Track, perfect for those interested in horse racing. You can easily reach Skara or Skövde by car, bus, or bicycle and explore their charming town centers.

The surrounding area also offers beautiful nature reserves, swimming lakes, hiking trails, and the famous Hornborjasjön, known for its rich birdlife. There’s truly something for everyone here.

You’ll also be close to Varnhem, with its fascinating history and medieval abbey church, as well as the scenic Valle area, where you can lose yourself in the breathtaking cherry blossom each spring.
