Located right on the corner of Stora Torget in Alingsås, Restaurant China is a local classic with over 20 years of history. The restaurant serves Chinese flavors in a cozy setting – both indoors and on its popular outdoor terrace overlooking the square and the Lillån stream.

Enjoy à la carte lunch with a wide selection of classic dishes like fried chicken, sweet and sour pork, stir-fried vegetables, and aromatic curry stews. During weekday lunch hours, you can choose from 16 different dishes at a great price – including drinks and coffee. Previously a buffet was offered, but now meals are ordered directly at the counter.

The menu is based on genuine Chinese flavors with an emphasis on variety, color, and warming sauces. The red curry with coconut milk is a recurring favorite among guests, and portions are generous.

The sunny outdoor seating is a major plus – possibly one of the best spots in town for lunch or dinner in the summer sun. The restaurant is licensed to serve alcohol, making it a perfect stop for an afternoon drink as well.
