Villa Plantaget & Alingsås Hostel provides a personal and characterful stay in a beautiful turn-of-the-century villa, where no room is alike. Accommodation ranges from small, simple, and affordable rooms in the annex to larger rooms with higher standards – several with private shower, toilet, and hotel TV. There are also mid-range rooms for those seeking something in between.

The hostel follows the classic hostel concept with affordable rooms where guests make their own beds and can either bring their own linens or rent them on site. For self-catering, there is a fully equipped guest kitchen, and during the summer season, a simple breakfast buffet is offered in the café.

Danish-Swedish treats in a scenic environment

Villa Plantaget invites you to a cozy café where Danish inspiration meets West Swedish care. Here, smørrebrød is made with love – using high-quality Danish-produced ingredients, homemade remoulade, and carefully selected toppings. In addition to Smørrebrød, simple homemade Swedish dishes, baked pastries, and drinks are available to enjoy, either in the lush garden or in the cozy indoor café. Locally produced ice cream from Hollanders Glass and Klings Glass is is the best!

The café is open from Walpurgis Night, weekends until midsummer, and thereafter Tuesday to Sunday. Villa Plantaget collaborates with local partners such as Marieborg Bakery and Gräddhyllan to offer quality with heart. A glass of wine, beer – or a lille en – completes the taste experience.
