Cesarstugan and the Year of the Farmer

The farmhouse, built in the old-world style, houses a restaurant and a function venue, which are decorated with hand-painted wallpaper, pictures and other decorations on walls and ceilings. The farm also houses the unique exhibition ‘The Year of the Farmer’.  Beautiful scenery around you and a view of the stunning Lake Hornborga will make your experience complete. 

‘The Year of the Farmer’ Exhibition

This unique exhibition displays Swedish farmers’ life and work as it was before the arrival of tractors. The exhibition displays antique vehicles and equipment, wax dolls, a living waterway, as well as illuminations and sound effects that will further enhance your experience.

Bakery and café

The farm has its own bakery where all goods for the coffee shop and the restaurant are baked. In addition to a large selection of cakes the bakery also produces its very own sourdough bread. You can have coffee and a meal on the spot, but you can also purchase take-away food or order cake or pastry to be made especially for you. Our four-legged friends are also welcome at Cesarstugan.

In the grounds there is also a small theatre which houses 200 guests. Bus groups are offered a historical package including lunch, ‘The Year of the Farmer’ Exhibition, a guided tour and a visit to Falbygdens Osteria – a paradise for cheese lovers.

Parking place

At Cesarstugan you will find a sheltered pitch and running water - also a toilet when the business is open. Electricity can be paid for at an additional cost. On the farm there is a restaurant, café, store and The Farmer's Year Museum.
