THE GRAND QUARRY I (Stora Stenbrottet) on Kinnekulle is a 40-metre-deep former limestone quarry. The lower layers of limestone date back 400 million years, and the hues of the stone layers and the beautiful setting have made the quarry one of the most popular places to visit on Kinnekulle.

HINDENS REV I Hindens rev is a five-kilometre peninsula extending straight out into Lake Vänern. It is 25-100 metres wide and 21 metres above Lake Vänern at its highest point. 

MARKET DAY AT LIDKÖPING'S GRAND SQUARE I In Magnus Gabriel De la Gardies’ city charter, from the 18th Juli 1671, merchants gained the right to freely set up their retail stalls as they liked, both in the new town square to the West of the river Lidan, and in the old town square, to the East. Saturdays have been popularly frequented market days in Lidköping since 1680, with the addition of Wednesdays since 1934 (except for Public Holidays).

HELLEKIS SÄTERI I Here you'll find a manor with exotic trees and a wonderful old-fashioned rose garden. Enjoy a lovely walk in the exceptional park at Hellekis Säteri (Manor), a manor set among unusual deciduous trees and magnificent flowerbeds. Enjoy the manor’s magnificent rose garden, flowerbeds full of perennials and the café’s delicious food and pastries.

HISTORICAL HUSABY I Husaby has been attracting visitors for over a thousand years. Olof Skötkonung, Sweden’s first Christian king, was baptised here, and in the early Middle Ages Husaby was one of the most important settlements in the country, with its church, bishop’s castle and holy wells.

FALKÄNGEN HANDICRAFT VILLAGE I Visit the picturesque "Falkängens hantverksby" in Hällekis on Kinnekulle. At this historic former industrial environment along the atmospheric main street at Falkängen you will find twelve charming small shops filled with art & handicrafts. Inside you will encounter the craftspeople themselves, who are happy to show you what they have to offer and demonstrate their skills on several occasions during the season.

LÄCKÖ SLOTT I Magnus de la Gardie’s baroque mansion, has a magnificent location on a promontory in the Eken archipelago in Vänern, just outside Lidköping. Walk around in the gardens, go to a concert and dine at the restaurant Hvita Hjorten. RÖRSTRAND MUSEUM I The history of one of the oldest porcelain factories in Europe and the crown jewel of Swedish porcelain is brought alive for you at the Rörstrand Museum. Almost three centuries of porcelain, from 1726 until the present, are illustrated in the collections. Not only can you see splendid, cherished sets of porcelain, but also tools, sketches and a circular kiln.

DESIGN WALK I Lidköping has a long tradition of design, with many innovative creators who have worked here in the past and many who are doing so now. NATURUM VÄNERSKÄRGÅRDEN - VICTORIAHUSET I Naturum Vänerskärgården - Victoriahuset lies about 300 metres from Läckö Castle in Lidköping, West Sweden, and is a great starting point for the Vänerskärgården nature reserve.
