Farm with old traditions in the picturesque village of Lavad

Backgården in Lidköping is beautifully situated next to Lavad's 13th-century church in a hilly landscape. On the farm, you can stay and participate in activities such as historical walks, museum visits, and flea market excursions.

Historical Farm

Backgården has been in the family’s possession since the 1600s, and much of the history from both the farm and the village is preserved in the farm’s collections and museum. Today, the farm offers 4 cabins for rent and various activities.

The farm also hosts a doll museum, where you can see dolls dressed in Swedish regional costumes and several celluloid dolls made in Vinninga from the 1940s to the 1950s. The museum also includes a photo collage of Karl XII’s mourning procession route in the region of Särestad - Lidköping.

Guided Tour

A historical trail has been established around the farm. With Ingbritt as your guide, you’ll embark on a journey from land redistribution to the present day. You’ll learn about the large family in the soldier’s cottage and events that have taken place over the years.
