Hills Golf & Sports Club
Beautifully situated in a secluded valley, bordering on the Sandsjöbacka Nature Reserve outside Gothenburg, is Hills Golf & Sports Club. This wooded 18-hole course certainly offers a golfing challenge, regardless of whether you are a newcomer or a professional. You can also relax and eat in the clubhouse restaurant to make your day complete.
A course that blends perfectly with nature
The par 71 course at Hills Golf & Sports Club outside Gothenburg is considered to be one of the best in Sweden. This partly undulating forest and park area has 18 unique holes with broad rolling fairways and well-situated bunkers. The closest neighbour is a nature reserve, and account has been taken of the local flora and fauna. This applies particularly to the birdlife, resulting in more than one hundred nesting boxes being placed in trees around the course.
Golf with an international feel
The original course was opened in 2005 and was designed by renowned golf course architects Arthur Hills och Steve Forrest. Since then, six of the holes have been modified by Swedish golf professional Johan Edfors. It has become a regular venue for national and international events and competitions.
Restaurant, gym and paddle tennis
The Hills Clubhouse is strategically located on a hill, offering a magnificent view of almost half the course. There is a restaurant that serves an enticing range of dishes in a modern, welcoming setting. Weather permitting, lunch outside on the balcony is highly recommended, allowing you to look out over the fairway and watch the players down below. Hills also has a gym and an outdoor paddle tennis court.
