Recurrent events in Mölndal

In Mölndal there are many events. Several of them occur annually.

National Day celebrations
Mölndal's official National Day celebration takes place at the City Hall on June 6, when new citizens of Mölndal are greeted with a flag parade and musical entertainment.

Midsummer celebrations at Gunnebo House and Gardens
Midsummer is celebrated traditionally at Gunnebo House and Gardens and is one of the most popular celebrations in the Gothenburg region. Traditional games and folklore dance performances all day.

Gunnebo open air theatre
Gunnebo House and Gardens arrange a theatre in the gardens since 2002. All plays are given in Swedish.

Musik på vattnet (Music on the Water)
The Culture School of Mölndal host a free concert on lake Rådasjön. Through the years, several guest artists have appeared together with the students, such as Eric Gadd, Maia Hirasawa, Louise Hoffsten and Victoria Tolstoy. The con concert ends with fireworks. Always on the last weekend in August.

Jordens mat (Food of the Earth)
In early September, during harvest, an organic autumn fair is held in the gardens of Gunnebo. An inspiring weekend with cooking shows and organic, sustainable and fairtrade products for sale.

Jul i Kvarnbyn (Christmas Market in Kvarnbyn)
When the dark winter nights fall over the old brick facades in Kvarnbyn, candles are lit in the windows and the mulled wine warm the visitors of this handicraft market.
