Havstenssund-Sannäs-Lur

North of Grebbestad the Sannäs fjord cuts in from the sea and in the beautiful innermost part lies the idyllic Sannäs. At the end of the road north of Sannäs Fjord you will find Havstenssund, and east of the E6 is Lur.

Sannäs is a typical summer resort but actually there is also one of Bohusläns few remained active stonemasonry. At Midsummer begins the Friday dances that continue through July and the Sannäs Day will be held in July with artists, market, and pony rides. A play day for the whole family. A hiking trail starts from Sannäs southern part; Stenhuggarstigen. The trail is about 5,5 km and follow the old stonemasonry roads and horse roads in easy terrain.

At the end of the road north of Sannäs Fjord you will find Havstenssund. In the coastal resort is all centered to the port; seafood cafe, studio, business, boat accessories etc.. The new footbridge connects the southern harbor with the swimming area. The road to Havstenssund was supposed to proceed to the nature reserve Trossö-Kalvö-Lindö. The bridge was never built but the road on the islands is a nice roads on the island for walks and bike rides.
 
East of the E6 motorway at junction Resö It is easy to enter to Lur. Lurs church from 1862 is surrounded by ancient remains and partly built of materials from the medieval church which was next door. Close to Lur is Ranebo, directly at the lake Lower Bolsjön. Ranebo is a large recreation area which is widely used all seasons. In the area there are canoes and cabins for rent as well as great hiking trails with natural attractions to discover.
