Here, you can take a short walk to the most famous rock panels, and your nearest neighbor is Vitlycke Museum, with a restaurant, exhibitions, and a Bronze Age village showing how people lived 3,500 years ago.

The campsite is calm and relaxing, and within the area you’ll also find a meeting hall, barbecue house, and dance floor. Thanks to these facilities, the campsite is very suitable for gatherings and meetings of all kinds. Tanums Camping & Holiday Village is happy to help organize group trips, school trips, camps, etc., with various activities around northern Bohuslän.
The school camps in collaboration with Vitlycke Museum are very popular, where participants get to experience what life was like during the Bronze Age.
Discover Tanum’s World Heritage Site within walking distance
The rock carvings in Tanum Municipality form a fascinating image archive from the Bronze Age, with more than 1,500 known carving sites featuring tens of thousands of figures. Here, you will find around 350 groups of carvings spread across the smooth rock surfaces. They are interpreted as early symbolic artwork, with motifs and placement deliberately planned by their creators.
