Visit the Weather Islands

The Väderöarna Islands are one of Sweden’s westernmost archipelagos, located just off Fjällbacka on the Bohuslän coast. This protected nature reserve offers hiking, swimming, seal and seabird watching, freshly caught seafood, and the opportunity to stay at a charming island inn.

Far out at sea, off the coast of Fjällbacka in Bohuslän, you’ll find the Väderöarna Islands.

The Väderöarna Islands form the outermost outpost of the Bohuslän archipelago. Beyond the islands, the horizon stretches uninterrupted across the open sea. This was once home to some of Sweden’s most skilled and experienced pilots and their families. Today, the islands offer a unique destination where visitors can enjoy comfortable accommodation with spectacular views of the surrounding seascape.

You can reach Väderöarna from Hamburgsund with boats operated by Väderöarnas Värdshus.
