ETAPP 6 - VÄSTRA VÄTTERLEDEN
Baståsen - First Camp Hökensås

Average walking, 23 kilometers, approximately 5 hours.

The hiking trail mostly passes through gently rolling terrain dominated by gravel ridges. The airy pine forest provides a very pleasant and easy-to-walk environment. Between Hammarbackarna and Rännestenen, you will cross a couple of deeper glacial river channels, but the stage as a whole should still be considered a typical central Swedish nature hike. Please note that this stage has relatively few places where you can access water. We recommend bringing enough water for the entire day.
