In Baltak, three kilometres south of Tidaholm, you can fly fish for rainbow and salmon trout in the River Tidan’s flowing waters. You are guaranteed a fantastic fishing experience by this beautiful stretch of river.
Three-kilometre-long fly fishing stretch
Baltak’s fly fishing offers classic fly fishing for rainbow and salmon trout in River Tidan’s flowing waters. The fly fishing stretch is almost three kilometres long with a variation of rapids, choppy and calm water. There are four zones for fly fishing. Wading is permitted in zones 1 and 3, but forbidden in zones 2 and 4. Fly fishing with a fly rod, a fly line and a fly is permitted. The fish are released at least once a week during the summer high season.
Fishing license and accommodation
A fishing license automat is located by Baltak’s fish farm. The area is only accessible for fly fishing. For those of you who wish to stay overnight, there are two cabins and an apartment for rent adjacent to the fish farm.
