At Virvan, a small family farm in Varv, a multi-generational farm is operated. There is a herd of Gotland sheep that provides hides, meat, wool, and maintains the open landscape. They also cultivate grains and their own grass for the animals. Vegetables are grown on a small scale in the open field without the use of pesticides and are sold in the small farm shop and through local delivery routes. Eggs from the farm's chickens are also sold in the farm shop and through local delivery routes.
