Bokdagar i Dalsland (Bookdays in Dalsland)
Bokdagar i Dalsland or Writers' Days, is an event that offers performances by some of the most current authors in Sweden and scandinavia. Authors who have visited the event over the years include; John Ajvide Lindqvist, Jan Guillou, Camilla Läckberg and Håkan Nesser.
Åmål and its oldest neighborhood becomes a literary headquarter during the three summer days in August when literature lovers and writers from all over Sweden comes to town. Bokdagar offers authoring breakfasts, lectures and book sales. The main author events are taking place in the old church.
The association "Bokdagar i Dalsland" also arrange other literary events. The Nordic Novell Day takes place every spring. During the year there will also be a variety of "author evenings" where writers and poets are visiting Åmål during one evening and talk about their works.
