Snarhögsgården
Åmål

An old farm house from 1805

Snarhögsgården is an old Dalsland farm house dating back to 1805, once a prosperous peasant home. The house was called Snarhögen and was located in Laxarby. The second floor of the house was built in 1840.

Beautifully situated in Örnäsparken

The farm was moved to Örnäsparken in Åmål in 1931. The rooms are contemporary furnished. In the smaller cottage called "helgstugan" they have emulated the original plaster on the walls and copied the original paintings. The grand courtyard is beautifully situated in Örnäsparken, surrounded by nine other interesting buildings. A visit to Snarhögsparken takes you back in time. The farm is run by Åmål's local history museum and can be visited after contacting Åmål's local history museum, phone +46 (0)532 15820.
