Vänerslingan tourist route

Cultural tourist route through the countryside

The Vänerslingan tourist route runs along country roads and along the south-western shores of Lake Vänern. This tour offers beautiful scenery with many hidden treasures, attractions and tourist businesses.

A more attractive route option

The Vänerslingan cultural route is an alternative to the road between Trollhättan and Lidköping with much to discover along the way, such as art and handicrafts, churches, museums, nature reserves, hiking trails, bathing spots, experiences and sights.

There are numerous tourist businesses along the way that are well worth a visit. Would you like to know more? Visit their website here.

Where does it run?

The Vänerslingan tourist route follows the country road from Örslösa roundabout in Lidköping to Tun and on out towards route 44 “Viggen” rest area, with detours to Söne, Svalnäs and Hindens Rev, and at Storeberg a detour to Tranum and Tådene. It also runs along the south-western shores of Lake Vänern, with its beautiful and little-known archipelago.
