Fishing in Tidan river

This delightful stretch in the lower reaches of the Tidan river offers excellent coarse fishing in a beautiful natural setting. From the point where it flows into Vänern and about 10 km upstream the richly-varied fishing covers both narrow stretches of fast-flowing water and gentle pools. In addition to pike, perch and eels there are good stocks of other coarse fish, including tench, roach, bream and chub.

For coarse anglers the period from April to September is particularly attractive because this is when large numbers of fish migrate upstream from Vänern. During April and May the fishing for asp is prohibited.
