Hotel Wictoria is a beautiful Italian style villa situated only 200 metres from the centre of Mariestad, in the north-east of West Sweden. Stroll among the fine old buildings dating from the 16th century in the old town, or go for an excursion on the lake. In the evening you can enjoy a lovely Västerbotten cheese pie in the bistro.

Adventures at sea and on land
Get some exercise and then relax - check out the gym and sauna at Hotel Wictoria. If you’re looking for something more adventurous, take a boat out on Vänern and go fishing for salmon, sea trout or pike. You can also rent a bike and cycle along the Göta Canal. The area nearby has several golf courses where you can play a round or two.
Home-made in the bistro
Enjoy home-made food and good company in the hotel’s bistro. Try the Västerbotten cheese quiche or the tasty lamb casserole, the meat coming from the nearby farm, Berget. Hot and cold breakfast buffets with freshly baked bread are served in the sunny dining room. Breakfast can also be enjoyed on the terrace or in the winter garden. If you get peckish during the day, the hotel has a snack buffet with cakes, coffee, hot chocolate, tea and fruit which is always available during the daytime.
