The trail is 5 km long and starts with a 255 m long small bridge over Sörgårdsviken at Vammervikens camping. Later the path follows along Västra Silen and Sunden.
Hiking trail Vammerviken
The trail starts with a 255 m long small wooden trail over Sörgårdsviken right before Vammervikens camping and the path follows along Lake Västra Silen and Sunden. It is 5 km long and marked in red color, leading from Vammerviken to Gustavsfors along Västra Silen. In the north, there is an extra loop (3 km) if you like to walk a bit further. It is marked with green color. The trails are well marked at the crossroads. You can start the hike either in Gustavsfors or in Vammerviken.
You walk past Ursberget where for thousands of years, trolls have lived. The path leads as well to a health spring. Hallesund's mineral water brewery was in operation between the years 1895-1915. The base wall ruins are still in place and if you are thirsty, you can drink from the spring that still exists. The oak barrel at the spring is hundred years old.
