Brommö and the Brommö ferry

Visit the island Brommö in the beautiful archipelago in Lake Vänern. Take the ferry from Torsö and enjoy the nature and peaceful atmosphere. A summer paradise with many bathing sites and tracks for biking and hiking.
One of the most attractive spots to visit in Mariestads archipelago is the island Brommö. You will have to park your car at the ferry service, Brommösund on Torsö as no motor traffic is allowed on Brommö. By your own or a rent bike you can travel the 16 km long track around the island.
Bike rental is available at Laxhall Hamnkrog & Konferens (near the ferry stop on Torsö) or directly by the ferry stop at Brommö.
There are several opportunities for swimming during a sightseeing trip on Brommö. There are marked tracks, windshields and fireplaces ready.
On Brommö there is no shops, restaurant or café, so you have to bring your own packed lunch.

The ferry starts on the Brommö side and goes back and forth. The ride takes about four minutes.
