Have a taste of everything the local sea has to offer at Malmöns Brygga, where you can eat lunch or dinner or throw a party. The focus is on local produce and a wide-ranging wine list can be enjoyed on the large veranda in the summertime, with the sound of the waves in the background.
Private pier and the sea next to you
Malmöns Brygga is located on Bohus-Malmön, with the sea right next to you on the pier. The glass veranda as well as the outdoor serving area look out over the harbour entrance where guests arriving by boat are welcomed. If you come by sea you can book a place for your boat here. By car it takes about 1½ hours from Gothenburg and 1 hour from Strömstad. Drive towards Kungshamn and enjoy the sea breeze when you take the car ferry for the last part of the journey.
Classic fish and seafood dishes based on local ingredients
Malmöns Brygga serves local cuisine made with freshly caught seafood and fish, Swedish meat and high-quality ingredients. The menu includes classics like dill-poached scampi, shrimps from Smögen, blue mussels cooked in wine, lobster salad, Sole Walewska and grilled sirloin steak. In the small Bryggbaren behind, you can enjoy Mediterranean style tapas, delicious finger food and chilled drinks into the small hours!
Party, wedding reception or kick-off
Book Malmöns Brygga for big gatherings such as wedding receptions, birthday parties or company events. The dining room can accommodate 120 seated guests and even more for cocktail parties and outdoor events. The veranda can cater for 60 guests and Bryggbaren next door about 40. It's also possible to book private tours on M/S Svea, where seafood and champagne are really at their best!
Adventures at sea and on land
Lace up your walking boots and discover Malmön on foot along the 11-kilometre Kuststigen (coastal path). Experience historic traces on the island from the times of stonemasonry, with sea-sprayed coves, sandy beaches, diving towers and fishing camps, all surrounded by the mighty sea and interspersed with forests and coastal meadows. Test the award-winning mini-golf course, play tennis, relax in the wood-fired floating sauna or go out to sea on the lovely M/S Svea af Bohuslän, a ship from 1904 that plies between the guest harbour quayside and nearby destinations. The quaint shops on the pier are open during the summer and there is accommodation to be found in the surrounding area - but don’t forget to book in advance!
