In the small genuine fishing community Havstenssund you can find the wonderful walking trail through Målarklöva up to the top of the mountain where you can enjoy a beautiful view.
Take a hike in Havstenssund
The trail through Målarklöva starts by the crossing Tvärgatan/Sjövägen and in through Klyftgränd. You will find a sign pointing towards the cleft. Målarklöva is about 50 cm wide, 10 meter deep, and about 50 m long. It's not recommended for claustrophobic people. A narrow and rocky road will take you through the cleft, followed by a steep part that takes you up to the top of the mountain. Follow the red markings.
At the top of the mountain you will get a wonderful panoramic view over Havstenssund. Enjoy the view over the archipelago, Tjurpannans nature reserve, and the buzzing south and north harbours where many boats stop at GBM Marin to fill up fuel and to shop.
When you are finished enjoying the view you can get down along the south side of the mountain where you will reach the bathing spot in the beautiful strait. By the bathing spot there is a jetty, “spången”, which takes you back along the strait to the south harbour in Havstenssund.
