Fjällbacka Bed and Breakfast
Fjällbacka
Since 1892, the rectory has carried tranquility with ease. High ceilings, bright and central – a place where conversations, everyday life, and celebrations have lived side by side. Today, the house is carefully preserved for those seeking something more than just a stay. A stone’s throw away stands Fjällbacka Church, built the same year – 1892 – in Neo-Gothic style. The church was designed by Adrian Crispin Peterson and constructed from red Bohus granite sourced locally. Its tall silhouette serves as a landmark for both the village and the sea, and a quiet reminder of the area’s history. Fjällbacka Bed and Breakfast is now run by a family with roots on the west coast and a background in hospitality – the simple, the beautiful, the serene – in a Bohuslän gem.
BETWEEN LILACS AND GRANITE
The garden behind the rectory is one of the largest private green spaces in central Fjällbacka – framed by tall lilacs that bloom throughout early summer. Here, there’s room for both relaxation and activity: an open lawn for kubb and croquet, a hammock in the shade, and several seating areas where you can settle down with a book or a cup of coffee.
Meals can be enjoyed outdoors at the dining area, and on the terrace you’re surrounded by greenery and birdsong.
