At Folkets Hus you can find venues for almost anything! Parties, conferences, exhibitions or weddings. Folkets Hus in Hamburgsund is a flexible venue that can be rented and shaped according to your wishes and the requirements of your event.
The large venue with reasonable prices for parties, weddings, and conferences for up to 130 people… or a small meeting in our “boardroom.”
It accommodates 130 people with table seating or theater-style seating.
Parking fits about 20 cars, with additional parking nearby.
- Tables, chairs, cutlery, glasses, and porcelain are included when you rent the entire venue.
- The kitchen is well-equipped so you can easily prepare and store food.
- We have modern equipment for conferences and entertainment, such as a projector and sound system.
- There is a large stage, a cloakroom entrance, and a glassed-in area for serving coffee or drinks.
The space is partially wheelchair accessible with no thresholds.
Restrooms are located in the entrance for men and women, plus an accessible restroom.
When guests need to stretch their legs, there’s a green outdoor area at the back.
The venue is within walking distance of Hamburgsund center.

We welcome associations, companies, and individuals who need spaces for shared activities. If you’d like to join the Folkets Hus community, you can purchase an annual membership.
Brief history
The Folkets Hus association in Hamburgsund was founded on February 21, 1904. It was the stonemasons who needed a venue for union meetings, cultural gatherings, lectures, film screenings, and more. Since then, it has hosted bazaars, Christmas and Easter parties, Sunday dances, movies, lectures, and auctions, in addition to meetings.
