THE ARTISTS COLLECTIVE WORKSHOP IN BOHUSLÄN

Since the start in 1981, KKV-B is operating in a former quarrying industry along the coastal road between Gerlesborg and Bovallstrand. Aside from workshops for artists, there is also a gallery with exhibitions in the summer, an outside sculpture exhibition and a café.

KKV-B is located right between the ocean and the mountains and is one of Sweden’s 26 collective workshops and one out of four with national interest. The main purpose is to give professional artists well-equipped workshops for different techniques and materials, but also to be a place for stimulating, evolving and exciting experiences within art and culture.

KKV-B is surrounded by mountains, meadows, fields and forests. You will also find the ocean and archipelago nearby. There are many lovely bathing spots in the area and opportunities to go sailing and fishing.

In the summer there is also a great selection of restaurants and cafés along the coast.

The area has an interesting cultural history with unique rock carvings and many well-preserved coastal towns. Three miles north you will find World Heritage protected ancient monuments and Vitlycke Hällristningsmuseum.
