Rabbalshede - Kville
At the E6 south of the Tanum municipality border is Rabbalshede and west of Rabbalshede is Kville. The district around Rabbalshede has a long history, through the area was King's Road from Oslo to Kungalv. Kville is characterized by one of Swedens largest rural churches.
Already during the 1600s the market in Rabbalshede took place and still visitors travles to the resort twice a year for this one of the oldest markets. Both occasions are a veritable popular entertainment, and in recent years, the tradional market dance have resumed. But Rabbalshede live the rest of the year too, as an unusually enterprising city. Among the 300 households there are nearly 50 companies, many of them are small businesses, and some are traditional service- and production companies.
Another unusual attraction is the Linnéa Lake, a small park facility that the people at the resort set in order. Ask for the way! Just north of Rabbalshede is Solhems Pottery. In the open workshop, production can be viewed while you can shop in the store or looking at artwork from Bohuslän artists in the gallery.
In Kville between Rabbalshede and Hamburgsund, you will find one of Swedens largest country churches with seating for 1300 people. The church was erected in eight months in 1864 and was introduced in December of the same year. The church organized concerts with known artists all year round.
The community Kville is a district characterized by agriculture and with a long tradition as a church community.
Within Kville Parish there are many ancient monuments; 215 rock carvings make Kville Parish to one of the country's richest Bronze Age settlements. Approximately 1,300 monuments are preserved.
