In the middle of Resö’s lively fishing and guest harbor lies Resö Hamnmagasin – a charming hostel with the sea as its closest neighbor. Here you stay with views of the harbor entrance, close to swimming spots, hiking, and salty archipelago experiences in northern Bohuslän.
Hostel by the sea
Resö Hamnmagasin is located on Hamnholmen, right in the heart of the idyllic harbor setting. On the ground floor you’ll find a cozy hostel where you stay comfortably with the sea just outside the door. The hostel offers four double rooms, a shared lounge with TV and books, and a well-equipped kitchenette for simple cooking.
Comfortable shared spaces
The hostel is suitable for both short and longer stays. The kitchenette is equipped with a stove, oven, refrigerator, freezer, dishwasher, and microwave. Toilet and shower are located adjacent to the rooms; bed linen and bath towels are included. Outside, a small sea-facing terrace awaits – perfect for morning coffee or quiet evening moments.
For small and larger groups
You can rent an individual room or the entire hostel for a smaller group. An excellent option for families, friends, or groups who want to stay together and create memorable days in an authentic archipelago environment.
Experiences on Resö
Resö offers beautiful walking paths, including a cultural heritage trail with a map. In the harbor area you’ll find Entré Resö – the southern gateway to the Kosterhavet Marine National Park, featuring exhibitions for both children and adults, as well as a popular play ship for younger visitors.

Guest harbor and services
Resö Hamnmagasin is operated by the Resö–Galtö Economic Association, which also manages the Resö guest harbor. The guest harbor is open from Easter to October 1 and offers services for visiting boaters. During the high season, harbor hosts are on site daily.
Please note that the hostel is not available for booking from mid-June to mid-August.
