River Rafting on the Tidan River

For larger groups, there is a chance to book a river rafting trip on the Tidan River. The journey takes approximately 3 hours and departs from Café Kvarnen. Along the way, you can enjoy the beautiful nature, and if you're lucky, you might spot various animals such as beavers, moose, deer, geese, and many other types of birds. Dinner is served at Lake Gimmen while you admire the view of the beautiful main building of the Gimmen estate and its lovely surroundings. This is suitable for board meetings, family reunions, birthday celebrations, and more. In August and September, you can even book a crayfish party. The raft is equipped with a roof, and life jackets are provided. Electric motors ensure that you can enjoy the silence.

Café Kvarnen is an Old Mill Environment

Here, there is an exhibition of photographs and old items from the region. Next to the mill, you'll also find boules courts and scenic walking trails. This has been a mill site since the 1570s, and it has had a mill, a seed and grain cleaning facility, a machine for making cornmeal, and a sawmill with a circular saw. The facility was powered by two water wheels until 1938 when a water turbine was installed.
