Uddevalla boasts extensive shopping opportunities. Here you will find everything from charming farm shops and downtown boutiques on the cobbled streets to the pulse and pace of a shopping mall! On top of that, you’ll find outlets and popular second hand stores well worth a visit. Whatever you’re on the look-out for, you can always shop till you drop!

Shopping Centre by the sea

Uddevalla town centre is full of cosy cafes and has several trendy restaurants, but there is also a wide range of shops with the something special and a little exclusive to offer you’ll not find anywhere else. Here, you can shop both for the timeless and traditional, but also for the very latest, trendy and new. Don’t miss visiting the Museum Shop in the Bohuslän Museum which has a rich selection of books about the county’s natural surroundings and culture and handicrafts from a living Bohuslän tradition. Stroll around the cobblestone streets in the centre of Uddevalla and enjoy the street life with the water close by. A little further south is Ljungskile town centre with its narrow, but very cosy pedestrian malls. Here you will find a number of beautiful interior design and clothing stores and the famous Resteröd Trikåfabrik (maillot factory), where you can look for bargains at the outlet.

Second hand is the new thing!

Do you get excited about clothes and stuff from times gone by? Do you like second hand and vintage delights? In Uddevalla, the choice you have of second-hand goods is both broad and varied, and you get a real sense of the charm of bygone days into the bargain! In Ljungskile you’ll find Bytt & Blandat (Swapped and Shuffled), a store with a heavy emphasis on environmental thinking. They have a lot for kids – clothes, toys and other accessories. In the centre of Uddevalla you will find Antik-Harrys, with its glittering chandeliers and clocks that chime out of time with each other. This is where collectors come from around the world, looking for gadgets with a capital G! Further up, on the same street Da Capo Second Hand & Hantverk throws open its doors and offers, in addition to its range of second-hand goods, homemade ceramics and textile products. Pingstkyrkans Second Hand is perhaps Uddevalla’s most popular second hand store. On Tuesdays and Saturdays, when it’s open, there’s a long queue outside waiting for the doors to open. Another tip for the bargain hunter is to look out for the flea market (loppis) signs along the highways and in farmyards. During the summer flea markets tend to pop up all over Bohuslän.

Experience the pulse of the heart of the city!

Right in the middle of Uddevalla and in the heart of Bohuslän lies the Torp market area for the people who want buy new goods and experience the pulse of the heart of the city! Torp Köpcentrum, with its almost 90 stores has everything you could possibly need. Replenish the wardrobe, or shop for the barbecue. Next to the shopping centre is also third largest IKEA in Sweden, where the whole family can have a lovely day filled with fun and games!

Charming farm shops

If you’re looking for something charming and genuine for your shopping spree, then Uddevalla also offers a number of farm shops. In Ljungskile you’ll find Kärrstegens Farm, filled with nostalgia and Ulvesund’s Växthus, a different garden by the sea that offers both refreshments in the Växthus café and a market garden – a place of tranquillity, bursting with life! At Bokenäset, in an old granary you will find the popular interior design store, Två Fröknar (Two Young Ladies). In this rural idyll, all the shopping senses receive stimulation! Here furnishings, clothing and accessories are blended with a cosy cafe in which today’s homemade cakes are served with coffee or tea.
