Nolhaga berg
Alingsås
Nolhaga Berg is part of Nolhaga Park and offers plenty of scenic trails for walking and outdoor activities.
Located by Lake Mjörn in the northwest of Alingsås, it’s a favorite destination for locals and visitors alike. The area combines parkland, lakeside scenery, gardens, and forested stretches, making it a wonderfully varied place to explore.
Two Hills with Stunning Views
The Nolhaga Berg nature reserve consists of two hills, separated by a gorge known as the “Klämma” (The Clamp). The gorge was widened in the 19th century when rock was blasted for a water pipeline to the Nolhaga estate. Both hills are mainly covered in mature beech forest, with oak and pine trees mixed in. You’ll also find patches of heathland and mixed conifer forests.
At the top of the eastern hill, there’s a scenic viewpoint offering panoramic views over all of Alingsås. It’s a perfect spot to pause, take in the landscape, and maybe enjoy a picnic.
Hälsans Stig – The Path of Health
The Hälsans Stig winds its way through the Nolhaga area, offering a pleasant walk through varied terrain. Each kilometer is marked along the path, so you can track your distance. The full loop around Nolhaga is about 4 km. The concept of Hälsans Stig (or Slé na Sláinte) started in Ireland in 1995, aiming to encourage people to stay active and promote public health.
