Cattus knows quite a lot – and he is happy to share his knowledge and words of wisdom. Along the way, he will help answer questions such as: What was a Swedish spa resort? What is the story behind the monks? How did Hjo come to be? And what actually happened in a customs house?
You will also help Cattus find his missing swimming costume, meet Dr Baggstedt, a doctor from Hjo’s days as a spa resort, and solve a rebus.

Walk along the River Hjoån
What can you discover along the River Hjoån?
Follow the River Hjoån through the nature reserve and combine local history with a walk through one of Hjo’s most beautiful natural areas.
For almost a thousand years, the River Hjoån and its valley have played an important role in Hjo’s development. The river was first used as an anchorage and harbour and later became important to the town’s early industries. Today, the valley is a nature reserve and recreational area with walking trails.
A walk along the Hjoån is therefore also a walk through Hjo’s history.
