Niklas Ahlin has lived in Hjo for most of his life and has grown up with Lake Vättern as a natural part of his everyday existence. Diving has become a great passion, bringing together his deep connection to life beneath the surface, the lake, the sea, animals, nature, and significant environmental and climate issues.
For Niklas, whose family has a background in commercial fishing and who previously worked as a fish wholesaler for 10 years before attending university to train as a folk high school teacher, the connection to Lake Vättern, the sea, and the marine environment has always been an important part of life.
Diving Training and Courses
Ahlins Gasmix offers everything from introductory dives, for those wanting to try scuba diving for the first time, to Open Water courses (basic diving courses), advanced courses, and various specialised courses such as dry suit diving, buoyancy control, EFR (Emergency First Response), and other diving courses and training days. During summer, autumn, and spring, diving courses are offered in Lake Vättern, while during winter (from November onwards), diving takes place in an indoor pool.
At the diving workshop and shop in Hjo, located on the western shore of Lake Vättern, Ahlins Gasmix provides divers with equipment tailored to Nordic conditions.
