Hjo Camping
Hjo

Campsite with cottages and outdoor activities

In a very heart of Hjo, with its characteristic wooden buildings and with Lake Vättern as a striking backdrop, you will find Hjo Camping. There are various accommodation options – cottage, caravan, motorhome or tent – to suit your needs. There’s also golf in all its forms, or a local cycling tour of the area. Just two of the many activities available at the campsite.

A relaxed, informal campsite

The town of Hjo is often referred to as the ‘Pearl of Lake Vättern’, with its picturesque wooden buildings, late 19th century villas, and charming cobbled streets. Just beside the park is the campsite, exquisitely located with large, spacious pitches, and welcoming, helpful staff. Book a four-bed cottage or one of the 330 camping pitches. Why not put up your tent and take a refreshing morning dip in Lake Vättern before breakfast? The motorhome site is open all year round.

Stay active at Hjo Camping!

Why not try the popular adventure golf at Hjo Camping. The nine-hole course offers a range of options and includes footgolf, disc golf, and boules. You can also rent a bike or put on your walking shoes and discover the delights of Hjo and the natural beauty of Lake Vättern.

Bathing huts, exhibitions and a bison farm

In the centre of Hjo you’ll find lots of small, interesting shops, as well as tennis courts and an outdoor gym. The harbour attracts people from far and wide with the Hjobadet bathing area and its characteristic bathing huts. The Pedagogien cultural quarter exhibition, focusing on the life and work of Estrid Ericson, design icon and the founder of the company Svenskt Tenn, attracts thousands of visitors. Just south of Hjo, you can experience a unique bison safari. Hökensås Golf Club is only 10 minutes away, and on Lake Vättern you have kayaking, stand-up paddle boarding, bathing, and fishing.
