Unique accommodation

Would you like to stay somewhere a little different? Here you’ll find tips on exciting accommodation options in the area around Lake Hornborga. You can stay among the treetops, inside a cottage looking like a moose, at a historic spa resort, or in a traditional mill setting.

Stay high among the treetops

In the heart of nature, in the crane wetlands by Lake Hornborga, you’ll find the treehouse hotels Sjunde Himlen, Himlajord and Andrum, located six and a half metres up in large, beautiful oak trees. Nestled among the leaves, you’ll sleep soundly as the wind sings and gently rocks you to rest. The next morning, a generous breakfast basket is hoisted up to your balcony, best enjoyed on the cosy outdoor terrace with its wonderful view.

Stay in a cabin shaped like a moose

Just outside Falköping, you’ll find Wrågården, where you can spend the night in a moose or bison cabin located in Wrågården’s moose and fallow deer park. A unique experience for both children and adults. The cabins feature many fun and exciting details that make your stay truly out of the ordinary. Outside, there are cosy barbecue areas with views over the moose and fallow deer park.

Stay in a 19th-century setting

Nästegården is one of the area’s oldest and best-preserved farms, with a history stretching far back in time. Here, you stay in culturally restored buildings featuring wide wooden floors and hand-blown window glass. French iron beds, hand-printed wallpaper, and antique furnishings create a genuine and tranquil atmosphere.

Stay in a historic mill setting

Herrtorps Qvarn offers charming accommodation in a beautiful waterside and garden landscape by the River Flian, near Lake Hornborga. Take a stroll around the mill in the lush garden or join a guided beaver safari.

Stay surrounded by beautiful art

When you visit Skara Konsthotell, you’ll not only enjoy a good night’s sleep but also a unique opportunity to experience Swedish art. In the hotel’s art gallery, you can stroll around and admire remarkable works by artists such as Anders Zorn, Carl Larsson, and Jenny Nyström. In the evening, you can then enjoy a delicious dinner in the hotel’s restaurant. Some of the rooms are art-themed and decorated with inspiration from Zorn.

Stay at a historic spa resort

The Mösseberg spa resort has a long history and is set in a beautiful natural environment on the edge of Mount Mösseberg. Enjoy a variety of spa treatments, warm baths, and delicious dinners — or have a coffee in the unique lounge.

Stay in the cottage Kotten

Nestled in the heart of nature, with views of fields, forests, and natural grazing land, lies Kotten. Here you can enjoy the tranquility of the surrounding countryside, cook meals in the outdoor kitchen, relax in the sauna, and shower to the sound of birdsong. A nature trail winds its way around the farm, and a refreshing dip in the pond is the perfect way to cool off on a warm summer day.

If the restaurant is open, you have the option to reserve a table for dinner. Breakfast can be pre-booked and will be delivered in a breakfast basket near the cottage. If you prefer to bring your own food and cook for yourself, that is also possible.
