Kanalyran is a nostalgic folk festival with nearly 60 years of history. A packed homecoming weekend, a kick-off party for the holidays, or just a lovely summer get-together? The choice is yours!
July 3-5th in Mellerud & Håverud 2026
Kanalyran is a free three-day event for local residents, those returning home and visitors alike. The programme takes place both at Köpmannatorget in the centre of Mellerud, featuring a food market and stage, and in Håverud.
Some of the highlights
- Bakom Masken – Mellerud’s answer to The Masked Singer, featuring local celebrities performing on the Main Stage at Köpmantorget
- Lisa Ajax (popular Swedish music artist) takes to the Main Stage at Köpmantorget on July 4th at 7 pm following Bakom Masken!
- Lilla Al-Fadji (popular Swedish music artist and comedian) performs on the Main Stage at Köpmantorget on July 4th at 8 pm.
- Carolina Wallin Pérez (Swedish music artist) sings on the terrace of Disponentvillan in Håverud on July 5th at 4 pm.
- Alex Hermansson (known from children TV) performs his show Talangshowen on the terrace of Disponentvillan in Håverud on July 5th at 2 pm.
- Sweden’s Strongest Farmhand & Maid will be decided at Köpmantorget, Mellerud.
- Bonna Bengt and Brorsan (Swedish music) will be rocking out at Köpmantorget. Meet & Greet afterwards!
