Rostock Festival: Music & Magic in Dals Rostock!
The weekend before Midsummer, the mini-festival kicks off, featuring live music on verandas, in gardens and in barns. Here, we mix local artists with names accustomed to performing on the bigger stages. The food served is, of course, locally produced, and the various venues are within walking distance of one another.  In this picturesque community, shops, studios and farms open their doors, with music and culture as the common thread. Come to wonderful Dals Rostock for the festival!

June 12th - 14th in Dals Rostock, Mellerud

On Saturday evening, Sandlycke Gård opens its barn with the outdoor bar set up and the bonfire ready to crackle. On stage, we’ll see none other than Cornwall & Petrén, STEGET and Det blev hangemäng. Put on your dancing shoes and bring a cheerful mood – we’ll see you at this brilliant get-together to kick off the summer in Dals Rostock!

The ticket grants entry to the concerts at Sandlycke Farm (limited number of places, age limit 13 years). Opening hours: Saturday 13 June, 5.00 pm – midnight

Please note! Tickets can only be cancelled, rebooked or refunded if the event is cancelled. Other activities, as well as food and drink, are to be paid for on the day.

Friday June 12th

CHILL OUT IN KROPPEFJÄLLSPARKEN

We’re kicking off the festival on Friday evening up by the little lake next to the Kroppefjäll wilderness area. The sauna is all heated up, so just turn up and join us for a lovely evening. Come and enjoy the early summer at this cultural and historical site – perhaps take the opportunity to go for a walk on the Saedens Runda trail before the sauna and a refreshing dip in the lake!
Price: Pay 60 SEK via Swish when you arrive; bring your own food and drink.

Saturday June 13th
Shops and attractions in Dals Rostock are open on Saturday 14 June from 11:00 to 17:00

SANDLYCKEGÅRD
Sandlyckegård is a picturesque 19th-century farm, and in the spirit of the festival, the barn doors will open for an evening filled with music. The bar is open and delicious meals are available for purchase – naturally made with locally sourced ingredients. The stage will be filled with fantastic bands who will take us on a musical journey and make it hard to sit still. Welcome to an evening of music and magic!

CORNWALL & PETRÉN
Uddevalla duo – acoustic soul with influences from folk, pop and rock. They mix their own material with covers. The music exudes both melancholy and the joy of playing.

STEGET
You’ve no doubt heard Steget on various TV programmes with their hit song “Såna som du”, or their cover of Ebba Grön’s “Flyktsoda”, which Thåström himself shared on social media. The weekend before Midsummer, they’re heading to the Rostock Festival and taking to the stage in the barn at Sandlycke Gård. There, they’ll fill the air with music that resonates straight to the heart.

DET BLEV HANDGEMÄNG
Det Blev Handgemäng are not a blues band, not a country band and not a roots band. They know their stuff, but they’re not a band that preserves music and locks it away in a museum. Instead, they play North American folk music in a way that makes it feel relevant.

Kerstin Ljungqvist will talk about the plants in the Åsnebyn Nature Reserve. If the weather is fine, please bring a picnic basket.
