Next to the river in Kungälv, you'll find this cozy destination, Skapa Café & Interior, run by creative talents. The old sailmaker's workshop on Kastellgårdsvägen has been renovated beyond recognition with its new modern granite gray façade and large black windows.
First, you'll encounter a café and bakery in a modern industrial style, offering creatively crafted pastries and sandwiches. Skapa uses only natural ingredients without additives, so the menu varies from week to week. The café will also evolve in 2023 to become a full-fledged sourdough bakery.
After purchasing your refreshments, you're welcome to sit inside the interior store and let yourself be inspired by furnishings, art, and clothing. It's good to know that the furniture is for sale, in case you sink into an extra comfortable chair. If you have specific requests or projects in mind, they'll be happy to help bring them to life.
The interior selection is handpicked from local and Scandinavian brands. In the spring, the outdoor seating area opens, allowing you to enjoy award-winning coffee against the sun-warmed building. You can also grab a packed snack and stroll through the beautiful surrounding nature.
The Göta & Nordre Älvs nature reserves offer nice walking paths to historical sites and easily accessible parking. The Kastellgård Promenade is especially beautiful when the red water lilies are in bloom.
