Åmål Light Festival

In mid-September, when the summer heat still lingers, and the darkness closes around us, is a perfect time to stop and focus on the light.

Light Festival offers thousands of torches, dance and musical entertainment, slide, games, animations, light installations and atmospheric light walking. This is one of the most popular festivals among Åmåls inhabitants and most visit the city when darkness comes.

Traditionally our "Karoliner" (a compound that dress as historic soldiers) fires a salute and marches.
