Dogs welcome both outdoors and indoors

SILL & DYNAMIT – Located in the guest harbour in central Mariestad. Here you can enjoy a well-prepared meal and locally brewed beer with a view of Lake Vänern. Dogs are warmly welcome both inside the restaurant and on the generous outdoor terrace.

NORRQVARN HOTEL & RESORT BY VÄNERPORT – When the weather allows, you can sit right on the dock by the Göta Canal and eat. If you prefer to be indoors, your dog is welcome to join you in the cosy lounge area one floor up, where you can enjoy the atmosphere and good food.

LEVIN & CO – Right in the city centre on the pedestrian street, you can have a coffee, a bite to eat, or perhaps a drink with friends. Dogs are welcome indoors, but if they are too large they need to stay on the outdoor terrace.

SAND – In grand old premises on Kungsgatan, there is something for every taste. Choose between Lebanese, grilled dishes, and small tapas from all over the world. At Sand, dogs are allowed both indoors and on the outdoor terrace.

BRÖDERNAS – Brödernas is a restaurant chain with high-quality burgers on the menu. You’ll find it in the Knallen shopping centre by Nya Torget. Dogs are welcome inside, and during summer also on the outdoor terrace.

STEAKHOUSE 75 - A restaurant and pub in the Old Town of central Mariestad, close to the cathedral. Enjoy a delicious steak, a burger, or a lighter snack in a welcoming atmosphere. Choose to dine indoors or on the courtyard patio, where live music is featured on selected evenings. Dogs are welcome both indoors and outdoors.

LAXHALL HAMNKROG – At the far end of Torsö in the Vänern archipelago lies Laxhall, which in addition to a restaurant also offers a spa and conference area and nice rental cabins. The outdoor seating is on the pier with a view over Brommösund. Open daily during summer and on weekends in the pre- and post-season. The rest of the year it’s open some weekends with special themes. Dogs may come both inside and onto the outdoor terrace.

BOJEN – In Mariestad harbour, right by the quay, you can enjoy good food in a pleasant setting with a view over Lake Vänern. Bojen has a large rooftop terrace, and dogs are welcome both there and inside the restaurant.

DINNERS – Serves lunch of the day, à la carte, simpler dishes, coffee, and ice cream from Kling Glassbar. Located just outside the city centre by the southern entrance to Mariestad. Dogs are welcome both indoors and on the outdoor terrace.

HEDA KÖK & SKAFFERI – At Heda’s you can eat classic Swedish home-style cooking for lunch on weekdays. There is a well-stocked salad buffet, often soup, and also dessert. Dogs are welcome both inside and outside, but the venue is small and the restaurant prefers that you contact them before your visit.

LION BAR – Right in the city centre you’ll find Lion Bar. Here good food is served at good prices, with a wide range of drinks to choose from. The bar and restaurant offer a mixed menu with both Swedish and international influences. Dogs are welcome in the restaurant and on the outdoor terrace.

BAKGÅR'N RESTAURANG & PUB – On Kungsgatan in central Mariestad you’ll find Bakgår'n Restaurang & Pub, with a small outdoor terrace by the River Tidan. Here small dishes, tapas, pasta, and good drinks are served. Dogs are welcome both indoors and on the outdoor terrace.

Dogs welcome both outdoors and indoors

BRÖDBODEN – On the pedestrian street in central Mariestad is Brödboden, with its own bakery where bread, buns, cookies, and cakes are baked. You and your dog are welcome both inside and on the outdoor terrace at Magnoliatorget under the magnolia and cherry trees.

ESPRESSO HOUSE – Just outside Mariestad along the E20 is Espresso House in the same building as Rasta Mariestad Rattugglan. Dogs are welcome both indoors and outdoors. In case of allergies or other issues among guests or staff, the baristas may ask guests with dogs to leave the premises.
