The Garrison Museum Skaraborg is one of the oldest military regiment museums in Sweden.
The museum was founded in the late 1880s when the Skaraborg regiment infantry units were placed on Axevalla heath. Here you will find the history of the Skaraborg and Västergötland regiment, the Trang Regiment and the Armoured Troop School but also a section describing medieval activities as well as current peacekeeping operations in the UN service. In the museum you can also get help in search of soldiers in the division army between 1682 and 1901.
