    Alingsås has been big on cafés since the 1700s when the industrial revolution drew the town's women out into the workplace. This was the start of alingsås unique cafe and food culture. Explore it through our local market, wonderful restaurants and cozy cafés!

The Guided Fika Tour

Join us on a guided tour through Alingsås, The Capital of Fika. Learn more about the Swedish fika-tradition and Alingsås long and vibrant bakery and café history. During an hour and a half, we visit five local cafés where we at each stop sample goodies commonly associated with the traditional Swedish fika.
