Feed the moose and walk in the countryside

Meet "the kings of the forest" while they are fed at Dalsland's Moose Ranch, where you are guaranteed to get really close to these fantastic animals. You can help to feed them and stroke their soft muzzles while you take a selfie.

Join a one or two-hour guided walk in the moose park, through wild boar forests and the mysterious Älgberget. Learn about the local wildlife, plants, sustainability, and of course, moose!
The guided walks are a separate activity and must be booked in advance, or you can explore the forest on your own - just ask the guides for information and a map. Walk through unspoiled countryside to the lake "Skogens öga” (the Eye of the Woods), surrounded by rocks, trees and hills. Stop along the way to enjoy the delicious berries and mushrooms in the forest.

Moose café and eco-friendly shop

The moose café at the ranch offers pies, sandwiches, pastries, pancakes and hot and cold drinks. You can sit on the benches outside the café, indoors in the log barbeque building or take your food to a bench by the moose area. Buy at the counter or order in advance from the moose café's online menu.

The shop has soft toys and handmade products from moose antlers, clothes, toys and souvenirs. There is also a selection of marmalades, moose sausages, moose meat, smoked salmon and cider.
