The Bathing Hut Sauna in Hjo
Hjo

A sauna at the beach

Located in the southern bathhouse building right by the Guldkroksbadet beach, this sauna offers a unique and relaxing experience.

ABOUT THE SAUNA

In 1913, architect Lars Kellman sketched out nine small buildings under the title "Hjo Strandbad". More than a hundred years later, these iconic bathing huts still stand along the shoreline – one of the most recognizable and charming parts of Hjo's unique townscape. In one of them, you'll now find the newly opened Bathing Hut Sauna.

Located in the southern bathhouse building right by the Guldkroksbadet beach, this sauna offers a unique and relaxing experience. Here you can unwind while enjoying stunning views of Lake Vättern and the harbor. The sauna is open to the public during scheduled hours, but can also be booked for private use – perfect for a peaceful evening with friends or family. To make your visit even more memorable, why not take a refreshing dip in the crystal-clear waters of Vättern between sauna sessions?
