Day 1: Waterfalls, beech forests, and blooming stops
We begin our journey at the impressive Fluxfallet waterfall. It is a place that offers both drama and serenity. After a moment by the falls, the journey continues towards Molla beech forest. Walking beneath the vast canopy of trees is like stepping into a living cathedral, a place that is equally beautiful regardless of the season.
To recharge your energy, we recommend a visit to the village of Od and Dahlias by Linn. Here, you can enjoy a stunning display garden and, in season, buy beautifully arranged dahlia bouquets. While you are here, we also suggest a visit to Blommor och jord in Alboga and a coffee break at the popular book café Crea Diem. Next, the scenic hiking trails at Årås Säteri (Årås Manor) await. The area offers beautiful gardens, a varied landscape, and a very peaceful atmosphere.
The first night offers unique opportunities to get truly close to the elements. You can choose to stay in the beautiful glass cabins at Erikson Cottage or book an exciting tree tent at Holsljunga Camping.
Day two starts with a visit to Björnhyltans trädgård. Here, you can take a guided garden tour and let yourself be inspired by a true passion for cultivation. Before moving on, be sure to visit their farm shop and café to enjoy the garden’s own produce.
Next, we head towards Hyltenäs kulle, also known as 'Seaton’s Hill'. One of Sjuhärad’s most magnificent viewpoints awaits you here. It is the perfect spot to hike along the trails and then light a fire at the prepared barbecue areas. Having lunch with a view over the lakes and forests is an experience that lingers long in the memory. If you wish to hike a bit further, we highly recommend the beautiful Hyssna trail.
The theme of unique accommodation continues tonight. You can choose to stay in the spacious domes at Borås Camping or check into Hyssna Forest Resort to sleep amidst the silence of the forest.
The final day focuses on mindfulness and balance. We begin at Horse n Heal, where the focus is not on riding, but on meditative interaction with the horses. You move freely with the herd in nature without any demands for performance. It is an activity that provides a deep connection with both the animals and your own inner peace.
As a contrast and conclusion to these 77 hours, we visit Buaskogen. Here, you can stretch your limits in their high-ropes course and see the forest from a completely new perspective. It is a place that truly encapsulates what the nature of Sjuhärad is all about—from absolute stillness to playful movement among the treetops.
Below, we list all the activities, excursions, and accommodations mentioned in these 77 hours for an easy overview. Don’t forget to double-check opening hours and any booking requirements before your visit.
